Umberto Eco (Italy, 1932) is an eclectic dreamer whose work in semiotics has voluntary greatly to the development of nifty philosophy of meaning. A journalist, academician, academic and novelist, Eco has thought a study of textual pragmatics innermost the aesthetics of reception.
