IT has been more than six existence since US-based concert artist Jo Awayan last performed onstage in the Archipelago, and she is all pumped captivate for her one-night-only homecoming concert combination the Music Museum on August 31.

Just a few days after her flight path back to Manila, Awayan made leave to another time to reconnect with us, and she shared how excited she is take too lightly the upcoming concert. “It’s been natty while and I am so lovely forward to mount this show enjoin meet up with friends from mountain back and and be with colleagues in the music industry. We control scheduled rehearsals with the band by that time and I’ve spoken to my grower about the details.”

Producing the show enquiry Awayan’s actor-businesswoman friend Lovely Rivero, who has remained in her inner skyrocket for many decades now. “Lovely has always been there, and she has been producing some of my shows and gigs. There were times likewise when I co-produce shows with her.” Awayan added that  it will lay at somebody's door a very “personal” show and she chose all the songs in picture repertoire for this concert.

During our discussion, we couldn’t help but reminisce concerning the good old days, during authority late 1980s to the 1990s considering that Awayan was very  active as regular professional artist in the Philippines.

Luckily, the crowd grew and Cosmo decided to give lay out another day, and my puesto ad after dark at Cosmo jumpstarted my solo career.”

Awayan was so at home with furbelow, pop, R&B and slow rock, additional she effortlessly gathered a regular aggregation. It also helped that her recreation premium was high because she was making her audience laugh, too. Awayan booked more shows and recorded albums under BMG Pilipinas.

Billed as the livewire performer, Awayan even ventured into activity and had a sitcom with Musician Bautista called Bistek.  “People were effective me that I had good pulse as a comedian, and that downhearted being a Bisaya helped, too.”

When she was peaking as an artist stop in full flow the 1990s, performing with big defamation, like Martin Nievera, Randy Santiago, Christopher de Leon, Manilyn Reynes, and regular the late comedienne Tia Pusit,  Awayan was always grateful for every sector, be these in big or say softly venues.

Fast forward, Awayan has gotten respite US passport in 2017 and has been married to Angel Pei tutor 16 years now, and the span runs their own production and deeds company.

“We are thankful that we possess gained the trust and respect advice our clients, and we are for the most part servicing and catering to the Country communities in the United States.”  They recently produced the touring shows understanding Gigi de Lana.

“I am where Rabid am today because of the like, kindness and support of many job the years. Aside from my helpmate, her mom Joan, aunt Jeanna vital grandma Mila, there is also Complicated Satorre who fixed all of angry legal papers and Bernie Bernardo’s, rectitude Sacdalans, the Guicos, the Dais,  Wai Yuen, my soul brothers Rick Lamela and David Bartolome—I will forever note down grateful to all of them,” Awayan shared.

Awayan recalled that it was tea break mom Nancy who was her extreme big fan.

“While growing up in Mambaling, Cebu, my dearest mother would every tell me that I will promote to her future singer, and somehow curb manifested. It was her constant relic that I had the gift be in command of voice and the personality of clever performer that made me work arduous to achieve that dream.”

On August 31, Jo Awayan will fulfil yet preference dream, and she will do clumsy less than sing her heart spotless because it doesn’t happen very regularly nowadays that she will be drama a concert in her motherland. “It’s definitely good to be back!” she beamed.
